There are many different types and genres of music. The most well known ones are pop, country, and rock. Each group usually has a certain personality affiliated with it. So do music genres attract people that have similar personalities?
People who listen to certain genres of music usually have different personalities than people who listen to another genre. “It can help us feel a sense of camaraderie and solidarity with the artist, a reminder that someone else has experienced something similar and that we’re not alone in it,” therapist Natalie Mills stated. People who feel a certain way listen to music that expresses how they feel. Sometimes it’s a way for people to cope with their problems and it can be an escape from reality.
One very known genre of music is rock. “I’ve made a lot of friends over the music I listen to,” says rock lover Danya Aljebory. Rock music has powerful lyrics that people bond over and can talk about.
“I’m more extroverted and I love music and being out in the country and my music says that about me” country music fan, Summer Saeed, says. People who listen to country music are usually out in the world and express their feelings with the world.

I have never thought about the relationship between music and personality types before. What a great idea to write an article about! Coming up with fresh ideas for stories that readers will be interested in can sometimes be a challenge, but this is a very intriguing topic. Speaking to a therapist as an expert source helps add credibility to the article.
I really like how you got people to connect their music listening habits to their personality. I know music always puts me in a good mood when I’m down. Nice job!
I love music but the only genre’s I like are Classical And Rap, this article is very interesting to me because I got the idea to survey a bunch of people on what music they listen to, to determine personalities.
