Hillary Clinton is trying to make history by becoming the first ever female president. The one thing that stands in her way,is trying to get white men to vote for her and not Sanders. It won’t be easy but with Hillary Clinton’s determination, the idea of having a female president is not far off.
White men are a big factor in this presidential debate. Hillary will need to convince voters, particularly white men in order for her to get a chance at making history. According to https://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2015/10/21/hillary-clintons-poll-numbers-show-possible-problems-in-a-general-election/ 64% of white men hold an unfavorable view of secertary Clinton, compared with just 26%.
Mr.Suni, a 6th grade math teacher thinks,“the candidates are just saying anything right now to try and get votes, for most people it’s working.”He also said “I’m not surprised by Clinton beating Sanders but, I’m surprised that Donald Trump is leading in the republican debate I knew americans were stupid but I never knew they’re that stupid.”
Mr.Smedley, a 6th and 7th history teacher stated “I think the candidates are ridiculous and really just saying anything right now.” He also said “It’s not a big deal that white men are voting for Secretary Hillary, I think she would win the election.” He also said, “shocking to see Trump in the lead but, not surprised about Hillary leading.”
Ms.Kincaid, a 7th grade history teacher stated “I know I’m voting for Hillary although Bernie Sanders brings up good ideas but, I think he won’t able to do them. She also said “I think the U.S. has been controlled by white men since the beginning and it’s hard for them to progress in the early times but, I was really shocked that Bernie Sanders was beating her in several of the debates, I really didn’t think she had competition.”
On that note, the debates are still going on. It’s getting intense every place they stop at. It’s really close between the candidates, can Hillary make history? Or can Bernie walk away with the votes?
