One Giant Step for ManKind

“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” That may be one of the most famous quotes of the modern world and it was said by astronaut Neil Armstrong on the Apollo 11 mission. Many believe that the Apollo 11 moon landing was staged. No one knows for sure what happened back then, except the people involved. People today are trying to prove if the moon landing was staged or if it was truly and honestly done. They try to find evidence of the “sets” used in the “filming” of the moon landing. Some also look for proof that it was real.

On YouTube, there are a lot of videos supporting the moon landing. On the contrary to those opinions are videos trying to prove that it was all a hoax. “I’ve watched videos about the moon landing being a hoax; I think that it was faked because of the things that I saw in the videos.” Ali Barakat, eighth grader at Unis Middle school stated.

Some of the videos show things like; the exposure of the pictures of the astronauts, hanging stage lights, no stars, etc. These are observations by regular everyday people who’ve done their research and truly believe that the moon landing was faked.

Other videos shoot down these speculations, saying that the cameras weren’t good enough to capture the stars, and the lighting on the astronauts is reflected off the moon’s surface. These people believe that the moon landing was actually done.

In a tweet by Buzz Aldrin, he said, “…The Russians would have exposed by now if we didn’t land.” He went on to send some of the pictures he took on the moon and explained why they were taken.

Today, the smart phones that we have are smarter than the computers that sent the first men to the moon. That is a big technological advance in today’s world. Apollo 11, with its now outdated technology, was done in eight years, but today, with the most modern technology, it will take NASA until 2020 to put man on the moon again. But this time, NASA is trying to sustain humans on the moon. Maybe one day, man will be able to live on the moon, then we’ll really know for sure if it is possible for humans to land on the moon.
