Bonnie & Clyde

Its February; the season of love. Everywhere you go you will see couples of all shapes and sizes walking around as happy as can be. With their heads in the clouds not being able to see anyone but their better half. In the 1930 there was a case of the love bug biting Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow, a.k.a Bonnie and Clyde. Relationship goals right! Well maybe not considering the fact they went on killing sprees as little dates. They were finally captured in march of 1933. That is after 13 homicides and several robberies and burglaries. How cute!

Bonnie Parker was born on October 1,1910 in Rowena, Texas. In her years of school she  was a very bright student. She loved poetry and literature. Many say that Bonnie Parker was exceptionally pretty. Looking at her childhood and the earlier parts of her life there were no signs of a criminal history, or anything of that sort forming. That is until she meets clyde in the early parts of 1930.

Clyde Barrow was born on March 24, 1909. Clyde was born into a very poor texian household. Unlike Bonnie, Clyde had an early start on the criminal lifestyle. He was influenced by his older brother who was also a lowkey criminal. On his journey he finally came across his soon to be partner and crime, Bonnie.

Bonnie and Clyde were introduced by a mutual friend. When Bonnie was a 19 year old waitress. And Clyde was a wanted criminal from Texas. After they met they instantly fell in love. Soon after, bonnie found out that     clyde was a wanted criminal. I guess this made her want him more. As Clyde was facing charges,    Bonnie was determined to free her lover. She helped him smuggle a gun into his cell. He and his inmates managed to escape.

After prison, the lovestruck couple ran away together. They found themselves among new friends. Friends with common interest that is. In early 1932, the barrow gang was formed. This gang included none other than Bonnie and Clyde, Buck Barrow, the brothers who influenced Clyde’s life of crime, Bucks wife, and  some other criminals. together they had a total of 4 armed robberies. Most of them were murdered before they can, well, murder. Bonnie and Clyde managed to survive.

Bonnie and Clyde, although them being cold hearted criminals, loved each other. They lived together and did everything else together.  They even died together on March of 1933. The couple did not have much time together. Three years of committing murders and robberies, but they made the most out of it. There were many cases similar to this one. Maybe some in our state even. Wisam Baker, a lawyer’s assistant, said “ In Michigan many different crimes     occur, whether it’s a female or male. The crimes can be really bad and sometimes the criminal gets sentenced for life. But mostly, in my experience, it’s either a one person crime or a gang, rarely ever a duo.”
