If you ask many senior citizens who is the greatest NFL Quarterback they would most likely answer Joe Montana, John Elaway or Jhonny Unitus. Lots of NFL experts now would disagree and tell you that Tom Brady is the greatest of all times. Yup, Tom Brady a 6th Round NFL draft pick. Tom Brady has a good 5 to 6 more years to play at a high level and already has done what all those legendary quarterbacks have accomplished.
Hamza Hakkani
Championships, Tom Brady has as many rings as Joe Montana and has about 5-6 years to get one more. Tom has shown he can be successful for over 15 years and can most likely can get another Championship within 6 years. I had a chance to talk to Unis 8th grade student Hassan Hammoud, who said, ¨I don’t think Tom will get another championship I think he can get two more!¨
Playoffs, Brady has 21 playoffs wins out of 29 playoff games played that’s the most by another player to ever play the NFL, not only that but Tom has a 0.72 present when it comes to playoff wins. Another 8th Grade Unis Aviator Hussien Baydoun says ¨Its hard to be good in this league and its even harder to stay healthy for more than 15 years. However to be healthy, play the best, win Super Bowls and do it consistently is going to require strength and motivation.”
Hassan Hammoud
Maintaining health in this league is a very hard thing to achieve. 147 rookies came into this NFL season. Many have been beat up and injured. 28 of the new rookies did not return.
Tom Brady has been playing for 15 years and has only missed 1 game, (Not including 2008 ). Another Unis 8th grader Hamza Hakkani explains ¨It is really hard to play for a long time, but Tom has been playing for about 14 years and only got injured/missed a game once in his whole career.”
Tom Brady over the years has shown the love for the game. He hasn’t been playing for the money, he has restructured 24 million last year to the New England Patriots. That means to change your contract, so he basically gave them 24 million out of his own pocket. Mohamaed Jaber, a huge Patriots fan that also goes to Unis Middle School says ¨That when ever a player gives up money just for his team to get better and get a higher cap space that pure love and determination to be the best.¨
Hussein Baydoun
On the topic of cheating, many people always bring up how the Patriots cheated in the Super Bowl called “Spy Gating.” If you never heard of it, it was when the New England Patriots organization set up cameras and were spying on the St. Louis Rams. They were taking all there plays and knew what they were running which gave them the upper hand. The team was fined 750,000 thousand and a 1st round pick in the 2005 NFL draft. Husein Baydoun explains “I do not like the idea of cheating to win at any sport, but I will be the first to tell you if you are not cheating your not trying your hardest!”
These reasons are why many people believe that Brady is the greatest but with a many great stars there is often some fishy or controversial going around. Yes, the Patriots cheated. would the Patriots have won the Super Bowl without cheating? The world will never know. Brady’s legacy when he retires will always leave questions due to the cheating scandal. You never know if some new player comes along and does better than all the NFL players that ever played. The future awaits!
