At the news of the San Francisco 49ers releasing Jim Harbaugh, the Michigan Wolverines jumped at the opportunity and offered him a job. The question is how do the players of Michigan and 49ers feel about it.
After the 49ers finished there season with an 8 and 8 record, the general manager released Harbaugh and promoted the defensive linemen coach, Jim Tomsula to head coach. Tomsula also announced he isn’t keeping Harbaugh’s staff.
The Michigan fans are excited to have a new coach who came from a NFL team. Samer Gharib, a Michigan fan, says “I think the Wolverines record will be a lot better than the previous year with Brady Hoke.” The majority of Michigan fans feel the same way.
Hassan Hammoud says “With the help of Jim Harbaugh, Michigan will get back to their winning records.” Michigan fans feel that Brady Hoke didn’t do his job right, so they are thrilled to have Jim Harbaugh on the squad.
There is a lot of controversy on the topic of Jim Harbaugh coaching Michigan football. But it simply comes down to opposing teams not being threatened by the professional coach coming to Michigan. 49er fans are perfectly split on this issue. Half the fans and a few players agree that Jim Harbaugh is the reason they didn’t make it to the playoffs. But the other half of the fans and the majority of the players feel that Jim Tomsula will not be a good coach.
Ohio State fan, Hussein Baydoun says “Jim Harbaugh is not going to make a 5-7 team, a threat to national champs.” Mohammed Dabaja an Oregon fan says “Michigan is terrible either way, Jim Harbaugh wont help them go to far.” There also is a small group of players and fans who have no idea how the season will turn out.
The best thing that football fans of both the NCAA and the NFL to simply wait for the seasons to come. There is nothing to get from making predictions on the season, so we might as well wait to see how the season turns out. For all we know Jim Tomsula good lead the 49ers pretty far into the playoffs, and lets hope Jim Harbaugh will do the same for the Wolverines.
