Yoga poses for kids

Yoga poses has helped our students control their fears, and worries. It promotes being calm. Here are some neat yoga poses that our elementary students can do!

The Cat pose shows a child on all fours with her head between her arms. Take a few deep breaths!

The Half Bow pose shows a child on their stomach, then pushing up with their arms and bending their knees, point those toes to the sky. Finally tilt your head back toward your toes!

The warrior shows a child with their legs spread as far as they can go and holding their arms out, one in front and one in back.

The triangle is when a child stands with their legs apart and then bending at the waist and touching the toes. Then try to reach behind you with one hand!

The boat pose is when a child can sit on their bottom, hold their legs up and grab them from underneath. Take a few deep breaths and hold for a few seconds.

Finally the lotus is when you sit on your bottom and criss cross your legs, try pulling your feet up and sitting with your arms resting along your thighs. Sit like this for a few minutes and take a few deep breaths.
