We will be taking the Reading NWEA tomorrow. Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep and eats a healthy breakfast in the morning. Also, encourage him/her to take their time and do their best. I am looking forward to sharing their results with you next week. 🙂

Friday is a half day of school. The children will be coming home at 11:45.

We will not have school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Tuesday will also be a half day of school. The children will be coming home at 11:45.

Don’t forget to bring $1 if you want to wear your pajamas tomorrow. We have gym, so make sure you wear your gym shoes, too. 🙂

Tomorrow, students will be able to buy a candy cane and send it to a friend or sibling for a surprise candy cane delivery to their classroom. Notes went home today with more information. It is a fun way to let someone know they are special. 🙂

Miller will having a Pajama Day this Friday. Students wearing pajamas need to donate $1 to the Miller PTA.

We will also be having a bake sale on Friday. Most items will be sold for $0.50 .

Tomorrow is the last day to order a Miller shirt. It is a great way to show your school spirit. 🙂

The Miller Roller Skating Party is tonight from 6-8. Tickets are $8 per person. Join us for a fun evening at the Lincoln Park Roller Skating Center.

Also, we will be having an important PTA meeting tomorrow at 9:00. Breakfast will be provided, and you will have time to visit us in our classrooms after the meeting. 🙂

Next week, we have many events happening at Miller.

Monday- Pizza Sale $1 per slice. We will also go down to look at the books in our Scholastic Book Fair. It will give the children a chance to look at the books and see how much money they will need if they would like to buy a book or two on Thursday.

Thursday- Book Fair Shopping. Our class will go to the fair and buy our favorite books.

It is also Miller’s Roller Skating Party. Permission slips will be sent home on Monday. Come and enjoy an evening of fun at the Lincoln Park Skating Center beginning from 6:00-8:00 PM. A bus will be available to take some families to the skating rink, but space is limited. Turn in your permission slip and money ASAP to reserve your seats on the bus.

Friday- Miller PTA Meeting– You will learn ways to help your child grow as a reader. It will really be helpful, so please attend if you can. Also, parents will also be able to stop by our classroom after the meeting. We would love to see you. 🙂

The family tree project is due tomorrow. Many of the children have already turned them in and they look great! Thanks for helping your child with this activity! 🙂
