On behalf of Communities in Schools (CIS), an organization that connects schools with community resources

In an effort to provide coats for our students, CIS has put together an initiative to get donations for new and gently used coats. The attached flyer provides information on the coat drive and the raffle that goes along with it. 

Here’s how the Coat Drive will work:

• Students, families, staff, and community members may donate new or gently used coats to any CIS school (yes, Fordson is one).
• Donations should be given directly to the CIS Student Support Coordinator at each building (that person will be assigned to our building soon; in the meantime, I am filling in). You can drop the coats off to me in D100-A (same corridor as the food’s room).
• Donors will receive drawing tickets (I have those too) for a chance to win a gift card basket valued at $500:
  • 1 ticket for each gently used coat
  • 5 tickets for each new coat (with tags)

Entry tickets will be collected December 4 and the drawing will take place on December 5 (details on location are forthcoming).
