Week of February 24th

Good vacation morning!

It’s bright and early on Saturday and we have a full week off! I wanted to get this post up before I lose myself in playing all the toddler games with Bin. Right now he likes to pretend we’re pirates.

REMINDERS:

  • Our class begins WIDA testing on Tuesday! We have all grown as individuals and I anticipate a lot of improvement.
  • There’s a field trip, free of charge, to The Detroit Orchestra Symphony on Wednesday. If students do not plan to go, they must still be in school. We will only be gone for 2 hours or so.
  • We are finishing up our math module, social studies unit, and a section in science. So there may be a LOT of class assessments coming up. Once we complete our study guides I will post them here.

Our science museum experience. If any chaperone has more photos to add to the gallery, please feel free to email me them.
Our science investigation on salt water concentration. Every group was able to figure out which mystery solution had the highest salt concentration! I was impressed with their reasoning.
We began our Healthy Living sessions. Please make sure your child signs the permission slip so they can taste some of the food we learn about.
We had a great Valentine’s Day celebration passing out treats and relaxing with friends. Thank you parents for providing treats for everyone in the class.
