Salina third graders have been spending their art time designing, constructing and engineering simple and compound machines. This is part of the Vex kit Engineering module from Project Lead The Way. They have been sketching and building using the design process. Wow, has it been fun to watch! I wish I was a third grader.  We are learning first hand how to add ART to STEM to make STEAM. Below you will find a logo I designed for our school as we move full STEAM ahead into new exciting learning at Salina Elementary.
