Jeremiah Noye and his good friends Brendan Hay and Alexander Restum got to spend a lunch playing basketball with Mr. Tapp in some 2 on 2. Both teams had a lot of fun and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. After the game we sat down for some pizza and cold water.
This year our 2-5 graders raised over 1,200 dollars for the American Heart Association. This money will be used to educate people about heart attacks and strokes. This year our top Heart Hero is the same as last year, Noralinda Musaibli with 370 dollars followed by Elizabeth Morris (135) and Raven Mouton (125). Great job!
This year our school raised over 550 dollars for the American Heart Association to help educate people about heart disease and strokes. Summer Novak was our top Heart Hero raising 160 followed closely by Madalyn Hill 130 dollars and Jordyn Patton’s 80.
ACES was a huge success at both of my schools DuVall and Whitmore. Both schools got to Cha-Cha and the weather held off allowing us to jog/walk outside. A special thanks to the teachers for being willing participants. Great job!
On Wednesday May 2nd both schools will participate in our 5th annual ACES event at 10 am. This event is done by thousands of people around the world. Both schools have a tradition of dancing the Cha-Cha slide as a group and going for a short walk. This event is a great way to celebrate the importance of being physically active.
Great job by all the kids at both DuVall and Whitmore-Bolles in completing the Mini-Martian. Each participant completed 25 miles before the event and 1.2 this past Saturday.
Congratulations to grades 2-5 for completing over 60,000 jumps during the event. Don’t forget to be a Heart Hero every dollar counts.
My 2-5 grade students will be bringing home a Jump Rope for Heart packet starting the week of March 5th. This packet will include a money collection envelope that will be used if your child decides to raise money for the American Heart Association. The envelopes will not be due until after spring break(can be turned in at any point). We recently completed our Bowl for life program at both DuVall and Whitmore Bolles. Each student will receive a bowling pass that they can use at Cherry Hill Lanes for a free game of bowling within the next two weeks.Get Out, Get Active, Go Bowling!
Coming soon, “Bowl for Life” program at both Whitmore and DuVall. This program is designed to provide some basic bowling knowledge, develop an interest in bowling, and provide an oppurtunity for parents to take child to Cherry Hill Lanes for a free bowling game to experience the real thing.
