Jump Rope for Heart 2010-2011
We will be practicing and than participating in Jump Rope for Heart(fundraiser for the American Heart Association) in grades 3-5 starting at the end of February and finishing early March. The students in these grades will be bringing home packets soon.
Sportsmanship Board winners at Whitmore-Bolles
Congratulations to Mr. Higgins and Mrs. Fontaine’s classes for winning the trophy for grades 4 and 5. Ms. Haddad and Mrs. Lucas also tied for grades k-3. NICE JOB AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Sportsmanship Board winners at DuVall
The winners for the second semester at DuVall elementary are Mrs. Strez and Mrs. Grahl for grades K-3 and Mrs. Alabakoff for grades 3/4-5. Congratulations!
“Bowl for Life” 2011
Both DuVall and Whitmore-Bolles are participating in a two week program called “Bowl for Life”. This program is designed to teach basic fundamentals of bowling along with providing some general knowledge about the game. After the two week program students will receive a bowling booklet with coupons in it for free bowling (nearest lanes are Oxford and Score). Bowling is a good way to stay active in the winter.
Whitmore-Bolles “Road to Disney”
Update: The students at Whitmore traveled 575 miles in November getting them from Valdosta,Georgia north to Cincinnati, Ohio. Great work!
DuVall’s “Road to Disney”
Update: In the month of November we traveled 735 miles. This many miles allowed us to make it back to Dearborn and head west towards Disneyland as far as Des Moines, Iowa. Outstanding job!
Conferences
Dear parents at DuVall and Whitmore-Bolles. On Monay I had emergency oral surgery to remove 4 wisdom teeth one of which was infected giving me great problems. Congratulations to Mr. Higgins, Mrs. Edgerton, Mrs.Hamel, and Mrs. Haddad’s classes for earning the Sportsmanship trophy for their outstanding behavior in physical education. Keep up the good work.
Sportsmanship Winners at DuVall
Congratulations to Mrs. Rosenua, Mrs.Burke, and Mrs. Liepe’s classes for demonstrating outstanding behavior in the gym during the first cardmarking. They tied for the most points on the Sportsmanship Board and will share the trophy. In upper elementary the trophy goes to Mrs. Alabakoff. Great job!
