What a great way to celebrate the importance of daily physical activity. Maybe for some this walk will become part of a daily routine (weather permitting) to encourage physical fitness and well being. Sign up deadline is Friday October 5th. Please turn in the permission slip and 3$ fee ASAP. This event is open to all interested 4th and 5th graders not dependent on times or ability. This is a good opportunity for all 4th and 5th graders to be part of a team and big event.
Any student in grades 4th or 5th interested in running for our school can join up for a small fee of 3$. The event will be discussed in their physical education classes and permission slips sent home with those interested. Please return those asap,thanks.

Weather permitting DuVall School will be taking part in Field Day 2018 on June 8th at Summer Stephens Park. Grades k,1,3 in am and Grades 2,4,5 in pm. All permission slips need to be turned in by Friday June 1st. All parent volunteers that are interested in running a station should let me know and what part of the day (am or pm). Look forward to seeing all of you and fingers crossed for good weather.
We will be celebrating exercise next Wednesday May 2nd. At DuVall we have a tradition of dancing the cha-cha slide followed by a walk. We celebrate 10 straight years of participating in ACES day.
Thanks to all of those that braved the weather and came to watch or participate. I have taken team pictures and will get them developed soon for each runner. Hopefully next year we get a little more sunshine.
This Saturday is the big day. We are in the blue wave that goes out at noon. All participants should be there around 11:30. The weather does not look the greatest but the event will go on rain or shine, dress for the weather.A team photo will be taken next week in the gym but we can attempt to take some photos race day if possible. Make sure to read through the parent packet and to fill out the information on back of race bib in case of any unseen issues that may pop up.Look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

The final run is only 16 days away. Make sure to get out and attempt to complete a mile jogging as long as possible before walking. All Mini Martians will receive a jersey,race bib, DuVall wrist band and an inflatable alien on Friday April 13th. A note will be going home event week to provide you with all of the important information needed to have a great race day for all of our runners. Once again we will show up with one of the larger teams, great work parents signing your child up and getting them involved and active!
