I will post grades for prompts #3-5 in the Writer’s Notebook as soon as I finish a particular hour. If you still need to make up an old one and didn’t show up for last week’s make ups, please come during lunch on Friday. Feel free to bring your food:)

Please read chapters 11-16 over break and be prepared on Monday, 4-4-16 for classwork on those chapters. Pay particular attention to the following:
How Calpurnia acts differently in different settings–why?
Aunt Alexandra’s attitude toward the kids and her belief system about “fine folks”
How is she a hypocrite?
Scout’s reluctance to being a “southern lady”
How Jem is growing up and changing
The jailhouse scene and how Scout “saves the day”
Development of discrimination through the character of Dolphus Raymond

Ch. 1-4 Quiz on Monday. If you were absent today, go to Ms. Kraft’s blog to view the quiz prep materials. You may find them helpful.
AOW #5 is due Monday.
Vocabulary 5 will be given Monday and is due Wednesday.
Tuesday will be classwork on ch. 5 & 6
if you were absent, do the attached: TKAM chap. 5-6
Wednesday will be work with character analysis–direct and indirect characterization; inference of traits with text evidence back up.
