1) The patterns in the location and frequency of past natural hazard events help predict future events.
2) The conditions that were present in the past during a natural hazard event must remain the same in the future for that event to happen again.

Teacher Availability

Since the internet is a 24/7 type of format, note that any work that is turned in, the classroom teacher may not grade it right away, but within a reasonable amount of time, maybe a day or two or three, depending on the assignment.

Also, avoid emailing your classroom teacher back and forth. Be original in your email, unless the assignment is not clear, which is hardly ever. Genuine emails are always welcome!

Again, remember, since the assignments are formative in nature, there are no do overs, unless we are doing a summative evaluation.

Final note: Since the classroom teacher is also a human being and does have a life, that person may usually be offline AFTER 6-7 pm, but periodically present throughout the day; this means not strictly 7:40-3:05, but periodically.

Sundays are no no’s!

*For Student Organization: The following is OPTIONAL for your use (NOT HOMEWORK), just to be organized!

Keeping Track of Your Work

Try one or both of these by “Making a Copy” and typing your assignments into the boxes as you learn about them so that you don’t forget. Use different font colors or features to change the assignment title, or delete it completely from the list as you finish the assignment so that the file shows you what you currently have to work on.

Bellwork Information

As we move forward and since we have officially lost three weeks of in-school attendance, your cumulative bellwork score will remain as a formative total and will not be converted into a summative score, since the classroom teacher had planned on collecting 5 more bellwork assignments for this current marking period, which will not take place.

For any future in-school bellwork, the decision has not been made if it will be a cumulative summative conversion from formative assessment or simply a bellwork test.
