Homework: Practice: Limiting Reactant!

Students are to solve the assigned problems on their handouts on stoichiometry that center on the limiting reactant. They are to do Part I, #’s 2, 3, 4, and 5. Furthermore, students should do part II, #1 on mass to mass stoichiometry that is also based upon the limiting reactant.

Thursday, April 26, 2012: Chapter 12 Test: Inheritance Patterns and Human Genetics

Students will be evaluated upon the inheritance patterns and the characteristics of human genetics that are based upon the class discussions and reinforcements that we have done in and out of class. Students need to review all pertinent information from their handouts, notebooks, and use their textbooks as reference guides to help them clarify any major points or information that they may have prior to the test!

Limiting Reactant!

Students will understand the significance of the limiting reactant in a chemical equation, and apply the principles that are associated with it in order to figure out any unknown quantity that is produced or reacting with the limiting reactant.

Review: Concept Map, Brief Assessment, & Q & A

Students will review for their chapter test on Thursday by reinforcing the material through another concept map along with a brief assessment as a self-quiz, and determine their comprehension skills on patterns of inheritance and human genetics by answering question #’s: 1, 2, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 19, & 22 on page 250!

Review: Stoichiometry Test

Students will work in groups of three to answer and correct their test mistakes, and then certain individuals will go up to the Promethean board and solve the selected test problems.

Create a Concept Map!

The student will create a concept map with context clues, similar to the ones that we have done in class since the beginning of this semester, that is based upon the plethora of concepts and ideas that we have learned about in the patterns of inheritance and human genetics.
