Students will be evaluated upon our study of matter in terms of its physical and chemical properties, as well as its physical and chemical changes. This will encompass our study of the concepts and/or ideas about the behavior of matter, as well as the properties of acids, bases, and pH/pOH. Furthermore, students will be assessed upon their learning skills of balancing chemical reactions into chemical equations, as well as identifying the type of each reaction.
What to study? What to study? What to study?
1) Students are very highly recommended to study their classroom notes that also include our class demonstrations and homework assignments.
2) Students are to study the key concepts and ideas on pages 200-223 in our online General Science textbook that were selectively reinforced by our class demonstrations.
3) Students are to study the end of each section review, because there are a series of reinforcement review questions to help them determine how well they understand the ideas and concepts in each section. Go over ALL of those that were assigned as a review.
4) Students are to check the iblog for any previous and pertinent attachments that are related to our recent work on matter, since the classroom teacher has informed the students that they are responsible for any posting and to stay up-to-date on the iblog postings.
