Jeopardy Game: Inside the Restless Earth

ATTENTION HOURS 1 & 3: Since you are ahead of the other two sections, you will wrap up your study of the Inside of Restless Earth by briefly looking back on what you have learned through the creation and participation of a two-day assignment of a Jeopardy game that will encompass all the topics that have been learned, discussed and reinforced for the past few months, and those include minerals, rocks, plate tectonics, earthquakes , and volcanoes.

On Day 1, students will create a series of five categories, devise five (5) responses for each category as well as write down the possible/projected question for each response.  On Day 2, students will be divided into groups at their tables and rotate and play the game as they will collect points for their correct responses (questions). The points that are collected by each group will be granted to each member of that group as EXTRA points for a maximum total of fifteen (15) points. The group that attains the fifteen (15) points first will be declared the winner, as we will move on to the new material-Water on Earth- after the game. But note that each group that has collected any points, each member of that group will get to keep those points as extra credit as well. In other words, there shall be no losers in this educational game!
