***Project: Volcanoes***
Volcano (7 summative points):
*Choose of a volcano and have it approved/documented by your teacher and then identify its type (shield/cinder cone/composite) and provide a picture/image
*Elevation (how tall is the volcano)
*How often does it erupt?
*Country where volcano is located (include a map).
*Population of that Country
*Language(s) spoken in the Country
*Identify the names of plant and animal lives that live on the volcano or near the base of the volcano.
Earth’s Plates (3 summative points):
*Name of Earth’s plate or plates that surround your volcano.
*Type of plate boundary located near the volcano (divergent, convergent, transform fault)
*Explain the interaction of the type of plate boundary located at or near the volcano.

Participation (5 summative points):
**Is the student on-task and NOT being redirected to get back on-task (total of 5 points will be earned).
**First warning results in a loss of one (1) point.
**Second warning results in a loss of two (2) points.
**Third warning results in a loss of another two (2) points.
**Fourth warning results in the loss of computer use, and the project becomes homework that is due in three (3) school days for a maximum credit of 10/15 if the entire project is correct.
