Students are to review their mineral characteristics as we embark upon the characteristics or features of the three types of rocks, namely, igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. Students are expected to realize that a small number of minerals make up most of the rocks in nature as we have alluded to several of these minerals in our class discussion thus far.
