Bellwork gave students practice simplifying radical expressions.

Students were given the review for the upcoming quiz over Sections 5-1 and 5-2.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 5-2.  We practice rationalizing denominators some more.  Students learned how to multiply binomial radical expressions and rationalize a denominator with a binomial radical expression.

Hwk #3 is due tomorrow.  Sec 5-2

Tuesday, Jan 21 & Wednesday, Jan 22, 2020

These two days are half days to start the new semester.  First, Second, and Third hours met on Tuesday while Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth hours meet on Wednesday.

Bellwork gave students some practice/review using the equation and graph of y=x^2 to find missing values. Then asked students to estimate the value of some square roots without using a calculator.

No homework assignment today.
