Bellwork reviewed graphing transformed Sine and Cosine functions and writing the equations given the graphs.

Hwk #18 is due Monday for 1st hour.

Hwk #18 is due today for 3rd hour.

The remainder of the period students learned how to model the average monthly temperature for Detroit, Michigan and Sydney, Australia with either a Sine or a Cosine equation.

We then began discussing Sec 13-6, the Tangent Function.

No bellwork today.  Students took a quiz over Sections 7-1 to 7-3.

After the quiz we began our discussion on Sec 13-7 translations of Sine and Cosine.  Students read through an example then worked on two problems using the example as a guide.  We then discussed a vertical translation of Sine and Cosine.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 13-4, Graphs of the Sine Function.  We then began discussing Sec 13-5, Graphs of the Cosine Function.
