We have a recorder competition going on!  Go to your Google Classroom for the details.  Also, there are lesson videos there to help you learn the songs.  Who will be our champion this year?  Will it be you?

Salina 5th grade students are preparing for a big concert Thursday, May 26, at 8:30 a.m.  All parents are welcome.  We are singing some patriotic songs in honor of all those who have faithfully served to protect our country and our Salina community.

I had the great pleasure of working with some young flutists this afternoon.  We worked on some embouchure flexibility exercises similar to lip slurs on a brass instrument, beautiful long tones, checked correct fingerings for some of the higher register notes and checked hand and body posture.  They were all super nice people with a desire to learn.  I look forward to meeting up with again in the future to see how much progress has been made.
