Rockin’ to Raise the Roof

I hope you are all having a fabulous summer!  I wanted to share with you a concert I am performing in tonight with my husband’s band.  The music is classic rock and some originals tunes, too.  The cause is for a school in Ghana.  Share it with your parents and maybe you can come out to check us out.

Here is the information:

Summer workshops for music teachers

Many of the Dearborn Music Teachers are attending a World Music Drumming workshop training this week.  Here is a video of us performing one of the songs we are working on.  We are learning the dance and will also learn the drumming parts.

A Successful Concert!

Congratulations to the band and strings students on a successful Spring Concert!

The students left a message on the board for me after the concert.  I was able to snap a photo of it along with a few students who were still in my room.

Thank you to all of you for your dedication, hard work, and for sharing your joy of music with me.  B&S2016

Thank you for your service!

This morning our 5th grade students performed a vocal concert in honor of all who have served to protect our community and our country.  They did a wonderful job performing.  We are so proud of them all!

We will have a Youtube video link to share with you in a week or two.  Our concert will also be available for viewing on the Dearborn District Cable channel.

May 26th Concert

Our 5th grade vocal students are performing a special concert on Thursday, May 26, 8:30 a.m. in the Salina Intermediate Auditorium.  Students are asked to wear Red White and Blue as we celebrate and honor those who have served or currently serve to protect our community and country.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend our concert.

Thank you Salina!

I would like to thank the Salina Students, Mr. Lawera, Mr. Abdulla, Mary Dakroub, Rajaa Zara and Nawal Sailani for the beautiful assembly this afternoon.  You really made each and every teacher feel very special and appreciated.  Thank you for the lovely award!
