We are singing Valentine songs and playing rhythms on the drum in the music classroom this week.

McCollough 3rd grade worked well together in small groups.  We used foam block manipulatives to create one rhythmic measure, practiced and then performed the pattern for the class.  Check out the two videos at the bottom of the photos in this post. IMG_3090

This week in music we used the storybook “Beep, Beep, Vroom, Vroom” to find patterns and use those pattern to speak, clap and perform rhythms.  Then we drove our cars around the room to the music of a car song and parked our cars in the order of the requested pattern.

I am so proud of these students who are working hard to earn their pins!  Congratulations to our new Cadet Pin awardees!
