Patterns create rhythms

This week in music we used the storybook “Beep, Beep, Vroom, Vroom” to find patterns and use those pattern to speak, clap and perform rhythms.  Then we drove our cars around the room to the music of a car song and parked our cars in the order of the requested pattern.

Honors Choir at McCollough!

I am  very excited to be able to offer an after school Honors Choir to our McCollough students in grades 4 & 5 for this second semester.  To join the choir you must have a love for singing and a desire to improve your voice.

I am here all day every Tuesday and Thursday so students interested in joining Honors Choir can come see me before (7:30 a.m.-7:55 a.m.) or after (3:00-4:00) school in the band room to audition.  All the student has to do is sing Happy Birthday or a favorite nursery rhyme song, such as Mary Had A Little Lamb or Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Please email me if you have any questions:  reedc@dearbornschools.org.
Our first rehearsal will be a shortened one on Thursday, February 16, 3:00-3:30 p.m.  Students will receive music and learn about links to help them practice the songs from home.
