Combining story book with song, movement and instruments in the music classroom is fun for everyone! Look how high we can jump! We are also using rhythm sticks and pitched percussion to accompany our song.

There are many things going on in the music classroom. Some classes are composing rhythmic patterns and adding solfege to sing compositions. Some classes are using Super Hero cards to create rhythms. Our kindergarten students are discussing all the pissible ways we can experience locomotor and non-locomotor movement.
Fourth grade students are reading rhythms with the use of groups of recorders on the floor. Here is a video of their rhythmic composition:
