Just a reminder that all students are expected to participate in their school instrumental music concert as part of the curriculum/grade. Please make arrangements for your child to be there for their concert.

Thank you to everyone who was able to come out and join us for our 2nd Annual Fordson Track Instrumental Music Concert. The concert was a success with Standing Room Only! We also had such a large number of students participating that we ran out of chairs and stands. This is a ‘goood problem’ since it is a sign that our music programs are growing. This is our goal – to build the music programs from the ground up. Our 5th graders are the building block to the Middle School and High School programs. It would be my desire to see each and every one of my students continuing in music through the 12th grade.

We had a great audience for our concert May 9.
We are really looking forward to our big concert on May 9, 5:00-5:45 pm at McCollough-Unis School in the gym. It will be a pleasure to meet all the parents of our aspiring young musicians, too.
If you have not turned in your permission form you can still do that on Monday. If you plan to order a Pizza Snack that must be turned in by Monday. I can’t accept pizza orders after Monday evening.
Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered as Chaperone group leaders. You are a big part of the success of this event. 🤗🎶
All band and Orchestra students in grades 5-12 participating in the Fordson HS Track Feeder Concert will be transported by school but to Unis/McCollough for the rehearsal.
Bus Pick Up times for Wednesday, May 9, are:
Maples Band and Violin Students at 1:45
Becker Violin Students at 1:15
Students will need to have a wayhome after the concert. Please plan to attend the performance at 5:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for your child to meet their future music directors.
Dear Parents of 5th Grade Band and Violin Students,
It is our favorite time of year – Spring Concert Season! 😀 The band and violin students of my 3 assigned buildings will be performing concerts at their building for the school and parents. We are also performing a big concert in combination with area Middle Schools and Fordson High School. This is a great opportunity for our young musicians to see their future in music. They will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with their future Music Director and fellow classmates. How exciting to have this opportunity.
Please encourage your young musician to practice daily at home. We all share the desire for each of our students to be successful. This will mean spending extra time on insturments at home so the music is very well rehearsed. Imagine their excitement when they are on the ‘stage area’ ready to perform their songs and they look out and see that special person sitting in the audience. What a proud moment for you, too, to see your child on the stage performing for you.
Attached is the PDF of the information packet which students will receive in class this next week. Please ask your child for the packet so you can fill it out and return it in a timely manner.
