We created our own rhythms using candy hearts.  Some students even added recorder note names and performed their compositions.

The second grade students have been learning to use our four voice types properly.  Today we used a poem titled “Underwater” to practice the speaking voice.  Then we used Icon Cards to create a new version of the rhythmic poem.  Here are a few photos and videos of the rhythm poems we created.
