Piccolo, (Italian: “small flute”) in full flauto piccolo, highest-pitched woodwind instrument of orchestras and military bands. It is a small transverse (horizontally played) flute of conical or cylindrical bore, fitted with Boehm-system keywork and pitched an octave higher than the ordinary concert flute.

Mega Marvin’s sounds resemble that of a violin, synth and organ at some places but if tried on any of those other instruments, it is nearly impossible to achieve the same output.
I was not able to find out what family of instruments the Mega Marvin belongs to, but when I locate this information, I will update this page.

I apologize as there is an error on our flier for our Howe Montessori Honors Music Classes and these two classes were called Honors Choir, but we will do more than just singing in these classes. We will play musical singing games, use our xylophones, learn more about rhythm and reading music, and much, much more.

Dear Parents,
Congratulations! Your child has been selected by your school’s music teacher to be in the 2020-21 Dearborn Schools Elementary School Honors Choir. The Honors Choir is comprised of some of the best singers from every elementary school in the Dearborn Public Schools. Your child was selected because of their ability to sing and contribute to this fine ensemble.
The Honors Choir meets on Tuesdays at Stout Middle School from 4:45p.m-5:45pm in the choir room. We will begin on Tuesday, October, 12th. For your child to participate in the honors choir, you will need to provide or arrange transportation to and from Stout Middle School every Tuesday. We usually have around four concerts per year. However, with current pandemic restrictions live concerts within the district will be on hold. This opens up an opportunity for us to create some great virtual performances that all can still enjoy.
If your child has received a coveted invitation, and you would like them to participate in the Elementary Honors Choir, please register them in our Schoology course. The activation code is C433-MC2S-JW5G2.We will communicate with you via Schoology.

I had a ton of fun teaching “Peg Leg the Pirate” today! Since all of my students are new to me this year, my sequence is a little bit out of order. So, I am currently teaching low la and syncopa together. I have found that there is a ton of repertoire that works with this combination!
