Singing Game – Sally Go Round The Sun!

Dear Families,

Sally Go Round the Sun is a singing game that we learned in class and you child and/or children loved it. To my lovely students, do you remember the different ways we learned this singing game? In this video, the performers, which are the people singing, show you a few different ways to play this singing game. The second video is a lyric video and shows the words for the song. Happy singing!

Enjoy!

Warmly,

Ms. Wilder

Singing Games – Bluebird, Bluebird, Through My Window – We Played This Singing Game in Class!

Dear Families,

In order to assist your child and/or children with continuing their learning of music, I feel that is was important to provide you with this singing games page, which will serve as a resource for you throughout our time for on-line learning. Singing games are a very fun and very educational way of learning how to sing, match pitch, sing in an ensemble, which means sing in a group, and you child and/or children learn many more things with singing games, as well.

Bluebird, Bluebird, Through My Window is a singing game that we played in class and we had so much fun singing and playing this wonderful game.

Please note that this particular version of this song is slightly different than what was taught during our music class, but I feel that was important to include this on my iBlog even though it is not exactly the same.

Warmly,

Ms. Wilder

Bluebird, Bluebird Through My Window

This is a slightly different version of the game that we played in class, but it is version that looks like it would be fun to play.

Meet The Orchestra – Learning About The Orchestra

Dear Families,

One ensemble, which means a number of people playing instruments, that I would love for your child and/or children to be familiar with is the orchestra. One reason that I would like for your child and/or children to learn about this ensemble is that you child and/or children have an opportunity to choose an instrument to play in the Fifth Grade and one instrument from the orchestra you child and/or children can play is called the violin. Also, another reason why I would like for your child and/or children to learn about the orchestra, is that it is a significant ensemble in music and it is important to learn.

This video focuses on assisting your child and/or children with learning the vocabulary associated with the orchestra.

Enjoy!

Making and Reading Music – New Music Enrichment Video – Musical Notation – Educational Videos about Music for kids!

Dear Families,

I have found a new kid friendly video for you and this is also about making and reading music, but it is presented in a different way that your child and/or children might enjoy. In music class, we are concentrating on the whole note, half note, quarter note, and the quarter rest, but if you child and/or children want to learn the other notes and rests as well, then, your child and/or children will be ahead of the curve in music class.

Enjoy!

Warmly,

Ms. Wilder
