I have been teaching your child and/or children how to count rhythms with numbers and also, how to say Ta’s and Ti Ti’s to rhythms, as well. This video supports your child’s and/or your children’s learning of how to say rhythms using Ta’s and Ti Ti’s.
Tempo means how fast or how slow to play a piece of music and we use Italian words and symbols to notate how fast or how slow to play a piece of music.
I have started a new page for you titled Dynamics Of Music, which is talking about the volume at which one plays a piece of music or how loud and/or how soft you play a piece of music.
Here is an Educational Enrichment video about the Dynamics of Music.
Enjoy!
Warmly,
Ms. Wilder
New Dynamic Symbol – The Accent
The accent is the little symbol above the high E note.
The accent above a note or notes tells the musician to play that note or notes louder than the other note or notes.
Here are the letter names for the spaces on the staff.

Dynamics of Music – With Visual Representations of the Different Tempos
Here is a very interesting video on Three Unusual Instruments – Hang Drum, Kalimba, Native American Style Flute. I think that you and your child and/or children will find this video very interesting.
The Kalimba or mbira is an African musical instrument consisting of a wooden board with attached metal tines, played by holding the instrument in the hands and plucking notes with your thumbs.
Here is a new singing game that I think you and your child and/or children will really like. If you can, try the movements to the singing game at home. This is a circle game and the movements are very similar to a song titled One, Two, Three, Who Will It Be and was a Valentine’s Day singing game that we learned and played in class.
Enjoy!
Warmly,
Ms. Wilder
Here are the lyrics or the words to this song.
I let her go go. Ee ay, I let her go go. Ee ay, I let her go. I let her go, go, go.
Like the Music Teacher in the video mentions that she and her students were working on this song prior, we have been working on this song and singing game, as well. Although the game is complicated, you child and/or children did very well and worked hard to learn this singing game. This first part of the video shows the lyrics, which are the words of the song, and the teacher sings the tune of the song for you and your child and your children and you can sing along with her. To extend her lesson, this music teacher also teaches about the solfege symbols and the rhythm of the music. Do you remember how we played the xylophones, kept the steady beat on our legs, and sang this song? Try this at home!
I found another video story for you titled The Little Red Hen. It is classic story and this video was done very well. Also, I found a song titled The Little Red Hen, which is a great and catchy song, and I hope that you and your child and/or children will enjoy this song as much as I did.
