Why do you think President Nixon kept his letter of resignation to one simple line “I hereby resign the Office of the President of the United States.” instead of trying to explain himself regarding his involvement in the Watergate scandal?  3.) Imagine that you were President Nixon and you were sitting down to look over your letter of resignation before you submit it. What are a few changes that you might make in order to make your letter more meaningful?
