All About Mrs. Wheble
My name is Sarah Wheble and this is my 10th year teaching special education. This is my 8th year in Dearborn Public Schools and my sixth year at Stout Middle School. Previously, I taught for 2 years in a Moderate Cognitive Impairment self-contained classroom at Snow Elementary. Prior to working in Dearborn I worked in a charter school co-teaching secondary science.
Prior to teaching, I attended Eastern Michigan University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree. I also have my Masters Degree in Special Education with a focus in Autism. My certifications include a Michigan State Special Education Provisional Certificate in Cognitive Impairment (K-12), Secondary Education History (6-12), Elementary Education and Autism.
I am truly honored and privileged to work with your child this school year. Children are my passion and I am honored to be a teacher. My philosophy as a teacher is based on a quote by Dr. Haim Ginnot: “Children are like wet cement; whatever falls on them makes an impression.” It is my goal to make a positive impact on your child’s life. I am excited to have the opportunity to watch them learn and grow throughout the school year.
