For today’s Math Activity I want you to pull out the money song sheet and sing along to the song.

After you have some fun with the singing and dancing I want you to pull out the money book to complete. Its time to color and talk about the different coins we use as money. I hope you enjoy coloring and talking about money!

Tuesdays are our Music Days. I linked activities from Ms. Hardens blog for today’s Music activity!

On Tuesdays’ we have group Therapy with Ms. Dawn and Ms. Emily. In your work packet they supplied you with an OT and Speech Scavenger Hunt activity to complete. I have attached it below just incase. I hope you have fun exploring and hunting for those items!

Start today’s reading activity by reading the “More Than Me” story. Once the story is complete check for understanding by asking questions that relate to the beginning, middle, and end events from the story. All resources needed for this activity is in your work packet. I have also attached the resources below just incase.

Monday’s are our favorite school days because the kids get to attend Art and Physical Education. For today I thought it would be fun to have one activity for our Art and Gym time. Today’s Art and Physical Education activity is a Color Scavenger Hunt. You can do this inside or outside of your house. Pick as many colors as you want and color a square on a piece of paper. The look through your house or go outside and explore until you find something of those colors. A picture example is provided below. I hope you all have fun doing this. I know Jameson and I had fun!

Hello everyone I wanted to let you know that our District has recently suspended the student use of google hangouts, due to technical difficulties. The district will continue working hard to support the students virtual learning and will allow for virtual classroom meetings again once they work through the technical difficulties.

Due to this announcement our Live Lesson for today at 1:00 pm will be cancelled. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I look forward to doing a live lesson with you all soon!

Letter T Worksheets

This Friday I am offering a live lesson with whoever can attend! The link to attend the lesson will be posted tomorrow on the blog and emailed to you. The lesson will be on the topic of the letter T, so make sure you have your letter T craft (which was mailed to you this week), and some glue near by for the lesson.

As part of our new learning plan, I will offer a live lesson weekly to support you in your learning at home. However, do not worry if you can not make it for the live lesson, I will also post a recording of the lesson so no one will miss out!

Ms. Dawn and Ms. Emily will also be hosting live lessons every other Wednesday from 2:15-2:45. The links will be sent out the day of via email or by phone.

Hello everyone! With our new virtual learning plan Howe is offering loaner Chromebook laptops for family to use for supporting at home learning. If you haven’t already received or requested a Chromebook, and are interested in having one for your child please let be know by Monday 4/27.

If you recently requested a Chromebook, distribution has been scheduled for Monday 4/27 from 10:00-1:00 and Tuesday 4/28 from 11:00-2:00. Parents will pull up curbside and their Chromebook will be brought out to them. Also a signature is required for the Chromebook. Parents who are picking up specialized equipment may pick it up during these hours as well. No parents will be able to enter the building. 

Hello everyone! I wanted to take the time to share some blogs created my fellow staff, your child’s additional teachers! All of us have been working so hard to create a website that allows you access to educational activities to support learning at home. Some websites have some great tips to cope with this challenging time while the stay at home order is in place. I know I am missing my family, friends, and free time outside of my house! Keep a look out for the mail! A few letter activities are coming in the mail. Mrs. Cheryl handmade a letter craft for the kids to complete with assistance, along with a fun letter T story for the kids to look at and read. The special package should be coming today or tomorrow so save them for Friday when we do our letter work!
