Coming next week: Google Meet/Hangouts 6

Next week, we’ll begin meeting twice a week online. Students should try to meet up on Monday and Wednesday, either in the morning (10:00-10:45 a.m.) or in the afternoon (1:15-2:00 p.m.).

We will begin doing some activities, answering questions about assignments, and checking in on each other in these sessions, so please try to attend. You may want to add these Google extensions to see all of your classmates in grid view or to raise your hand/react when your mic is muted.

Please follow these expectations when you join us:

Google Meet/Hangout Etiquette Guide for Students

  1. Take a Look at your video BEFORE joining the Hangout. Make sure that everything in the video (especially the background) is appropriate.
  2. When you enter the Meet/Hangout, mute yourself (If you are already not muted.)
  3. When you have a question, type in the textbox and wait for your teacher to call on you.
  4. When you have something to contribute to what is being said, but it is not your turn, use the chat feature in the right-hand corner.
  5. Wait for the teacher to call on you to unmute yourself.
  6. Only one student should contribute/talk at a time
  7. Look into the camera when you are talking.
  8. Stay attentive. Pay attention to your teacher or other students who are speaking.

Here is some more information to those of you who may be new to Google Meet.
