Mon. Chinese Revolution and legacy of Mao

Today we went over the DBQ and looked at what it means to be communist in China during the Cold War. This is the article we looked at: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-legacy-of-mao/ , the video we looked at: https://www.cbsnews.com/videos/the-real-mao-tse-tung/ and answered the following questions: 1) Describe at least 5 things Mao is remembered for and 2) Should the U.S. have intervened and stopped communism in China? Explain.

Wed. End of WWII Simulation

Today we used these handouts and maps to figure out what should happen to Germany and Japan at the end of WWII: End_of_WWII_Simulation. To figure out what to do geographically you will need to look at these maps and figure out what to do: WWII Maps of Europe and Asia. Mon. Atomic Bomb stuff

Today we looked at the effects of the atomic bomb by watching these two videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwkyPvlWPM0&safe=active and  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcJ_xGvnBdU&safe=active. We also looked at these photos from when I went to Hiroshima: Hiroshima pics and then tried to figure out why this happened by reading these: Atomic Bomb Stuff (page 2 is blank. Keep going through.)
