Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day was a hit from 8:35 until the end of the day. During Daily 5/Math they had a booklet to complete with Valentine’s Day themed activities to do independently and with a partner.      Lunchtime was the beginning of the official party. There was pizza,  fruit, and veggies. Ten they decorated bags, decorated a cupcake, passed out their valentines and played some Bingo. A big thanks to our room moms for putting on such a nice party.                                                                                   After the party we got some fresh air, and the went to the computer lab and typed some valentine themed math story problems. I’m sure they were wiped out at the end of the day.

 1ooth day of  School

To celebrate the 1ooth day of school they made a 1oo piece cereal necklace, wore 100 things on a shirt, licked a lollipop 100 times, and filled out a survey dealing with the number 100. The activity that took them 2 days to finish was to find 100 words they could read from a newspaper and newspaper ads. They got in groups of 2 or 3 to complete this task.
