Retake Philosophy

Retakes are an important part of the learning process. Students should have reasonable opportunities to master the content and retakes allow students to take responsibility for their learning by finding alternative ways to strive for that mastery.

• Retakes are offered for all summative assignments but students must arrange to meet with Ms. Kubicek or Ms. Blamer to determine a plan for relearning the material.

• The retake form must be completed before the retake will be given.

• The retake grade will replace the former grade even if it is lower than the original grade though the student may attempt an additional retake.

• Retake forms are also available in class.

• Retakes are available to arrange Tuesdays through Fridays after school, or possibly during lunch.
