Bring your Choice Book for Sustained Silent Reading (SSR) every day.
We usually read between 10 and 20 minutes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but bring it every day anyway.
(No, really. Bring it every day. I know I said we usually read on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays but see that word “usually”? Sometimes things change. So bring your book every day.)
Students complete a response each week of the marking period. Responses must be completed on the same Choice Book in a marking period.
Response prompts are designed to be completed regardless of how much of the book is read at the time though students are required to complete a Choice Book by the end of each marking period.
