Monday 11/03/2025

After the day in history, the Ch. 13 sec. 2-3 Questions were checked. We spent the hour learning about music, dancing, and heroes of the 1920s. Students were given the Ch. 13 sec. 4 Textbook Questions — due on Thursday. No school tomorrow.

Halloween

After discussing the day in history, we watched a clip on the history of Halloween. We then finished discussing the Ch. 13 sec. 1 answers and the Scopes Trial document questions.

Thursday 10/30/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 13 sec. 1 textbook questions from Tuesday were checked and discussed. We also went over the Prohibition handouts from Tuesday. We then looked at some political cartoons over Prohibition. Students were then given time to work on questions over some documents over the Scopes Trial and Fundamentalism.

Tuesday 10/28/2025

After discussing the day in history, we went over yesterday’s Consumerism handout. We also introduced Prohibition, and students completed questions over the Rise and Fall of Prohibition. Students were then given the Ch. 13 sec. 1 Questions — due on Thursday.

Monday 10/27/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 12 sec. 3 Questions were collected. We then watched the Crash Course over the 1920s as a review of Ch. 12 and a preview for Ch. 13.

Friday 10/24/2025

After discussing the day in history, students voted in the student council election. We then finished the Ch. 12 sec. 1-2 answers, including going over a handout on immigration. Students were also given time to work on the CH. 12 sec. 3 Textbook Questions — due Monday.

Thursday 10/23/2025

After discussing the day in history, the CH. 12 sec. 1-2 Questions were checked and discussed, including the Red Scare documents and cartoons from Tuesday. Students also answered questions over a history on the KKK.

Tuesday 10/21/2025

After discussing the day in history, we went over the Roaring Twenties handout from yesterday. We also watched clip on the Red Scare, and then students completed questions over two primary documents on the Palmer Raids and political cartoons. Ch. 12 sec. 1-2 Questions due on Thursday.

Monday 10/20/2025

After discussing the day in history, we went over the Primary vs. Secondary Sources handout from Friday. We then watched a video over the influence of the early automobile and the Great Migration in the US. Students were then given time to complete an intro into the conservative attitudes of the 1920s.

Friday 10/17/2025

After discussing the day in history, students took the CH. 10+ 11 Test. Afterward, they completed a handout over examples of Primary and Secondary Sources.
