Tuesday 5/6/2025

The Ch. 22 sec. 3 Questions were checked at the start of class. We discussed the draft of 1969 and students completed questions over an article on the draft. They were also given time to work on the Ch. 22 sec. 4 Questions — due Thursday.

Monday 5/5/2025

The Ch. 22 sec. 2 questions were checked and discussed. Students also completed the letter from a soldier in Vietnam. After watching a video on Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, students were given time t work on the Ch. 22 sec. 3 Textbook Questions.

Friday 5/2/2025

The Ch. 22 sec. 1 Questions were checked and discussed. Students then completed questions over a primary source memo. After watching a clip on the start of the Vietnam War, students were given time to work on the Ch. 22 sec. 2 Questions — due on Monday.

Thursday 5/1/2025

The Vietnam maps and answers were collected at the start of the hour. After reviewing the chart over the start of the Vietnam war, students completed the Four Speakers questions and then were given time to work on the Ch. 22 sec. 1 Textbook Questions — due tomorrow.

Tuesday 4/29/2025

We discussed yesterday’s Ch. 22 sec. 1 Chart, and then students were given time to complete the Vietnam map activity.

Friday 4/25/2025

After singing Blowing In The Wind, we finished going over the Ch. 21 sec. 3 answers, including the Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia.

Thursday 4/24/2025

We finished discussing Ch. 21 sec. 1-2, including Selma Freedom March. The Ch. 21 sec. 3 questions were passed back and we began to go over the answers, including information on Malcolm X and the assignation of Martin Luther King.

Wednesday 4/23/2025

The Ch. 31 sec. 3-4 Questions were collected at the beginning of class. We reviewed the fascists, and then students completed the handout over the Weimer Republic and the Rise of Hitler. Students also completed the Ch. 31 sec. 3-4 Chart and we took a fake quiz over it.

Tuesday 4/22/2025

The Ch. 21 sec. 3 Questions were collected at the start of the hour. We continued to discuss the Ch. 21 sec. 1-2 answers, and then watched a video on Freedom Summer of 1964.

Monday 4/21/2025

We continued to discuss the Ch. 21 sec. 1-2 textbook questions, including the “children’s crusade“, George Wallace, and MLK’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
