Monday 10/6/2025

After discussing the day in history, I checked the Ch. 11 sec. 1 Questions. Students then completed the World Leader or Bully chart, and then we watched the Edpuzzle on events leading to WWI.

Thursday 10/2/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 10 sec. 4 questions were checked and discussed. We also watched a clip on the Panama Canal, as well as the Crash Course on American Imperialism.

Wednesday 10/1/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 10 sec. 3 Questions were checked and discussed. Students also completed the Spanish American War Quotes handout. We also watched a clip on China and the Boxer Rebellion.

Monday 9/29/2025

After discussing the day in history, the Ch. 10 sec. 2 Questions were checked and discussed. We also watched a quick overview clip on the Spanish- American War and went over examples of “Yellow Journalism”.

Friday 9/26/2025

After discussing the day in history, student packets were passed out to each student to be taken home and signed. Students should return the signed packets ASAP. We then went over yesterday’s questions over the Great Wall of China. We then discussed the Silk Road documents together after watching a clip on the Silk Road.

Friday 9/26/2025

After discussing the day in history, we finished answering the Ch. 10 sec. 1 questions. We also watched a clip on the last queen of Hawaii, and students completed a handout over her. They were also given time work on the Ch. 10 sec. 2 textbook questions– due Monday.

Thursday 9/25/2025

After discussing the day in history, I checked the CH. 10 sec. 1 questions from yesterday. Students then too a fake map quiz regarding US imperialism. We then reviewed European imperialism, and then began going over the 10-1 answers. Students completed a handout on Social Darwinism, and we watched clips on US Imperialism and “Seward’s Folly.”

Wednesday 9/24/2025

After discussing the day in history, students took the Ch. 6,7,8,9 Test. They were also given time to work on the Ch. 10 sec. 1 textbook questions– due tomorrow.

Tuesday 9/23/2025

After going over the day in history, we watched the Crash Course over the Progressive Era. Students then received a copy of the study guide for the test tomorrow.

Monday 9/22/2025

After discussing the day in history, we finished up going over the CH. 9 sec. 3 answers. Students then completed questions over a biography of Teddy Roosevelt. We also discussed the answers to the Ch. 9 sec. 4-5 textbook questions. Test on Wednesday!
