Students used today to organizer their 100 page composition notebook. Students started with a the purpose and the norms of the Interactive Science Notebook (ISN). After that students added 5 pages of table of contents and then numbered the first 12 pages. Students will use this notebook for all science work. Below is the first page which shows the purpose and the norms for the ISN.
On Thursday, we completed an exercise in working in cooperative groups. Students needed to build a Lego robot by listening to group members.
Students worked in small groups to come up with the rules necessary to have a safe and productive 7th grade science experience. The rules will be discussed again tomorrow and then will be posted. Students know what is expected of them. The rules each class came up with are as follows:

Today students annotated the parent brochure. Please review the brochure with your child. The brochure highlights important dates, the retake policy and classroom expectations.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. I will be teaching 7th grade science using the Mi-STAR science curriculum. The Mi-STAR curriculum allows students to become solurion builders as they use science and engineering to wolve real work challenges.
The following supplies are recommended: 100 page composition notebook, pencils, pens highlighters, colored pencils, a container to hold supplies, folder and glue stick. Please email me if you need help supplying these materials.
The Bryant Middle School Open house is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th from 6-7:30. Parents will be following the same schedule as their child. Conferences are November 11th, November 13th and April 16th.
