Students are to finish a Fryer vocabuary model. The words are: Energy Transfer, Equilibrium, Thermal Energy and Random. Use the following Frayer Model Template:

January 21, 2020
Today students were given more time to find a science fair topic. Students were also given a parent note which is due on January 31st. This note lets me know parents and students have discussed the science fair and the topic which will be tested.
The 321 summary is due on Friday, January 24th. The assigned articles are as follows: 2nd Hour- Rock Star, 3rd Hour- Eat Up, 4th Hour- Water Power, 5th Hour-Trash Collector, 6th Hour- Plastic Sounds.

Today students used a simulation called Cocoa Collision to discover how heat travels. Below are pictures of the students participating in the simulation.


January 13, 2020
Students had a short quiz on Friday. These were returned today. Students who would like to retake the test will need to write a letter explaining what was incorrect on their test and have a parent signature. The retake will be give to students during class on Tuesday. It will need to be returned on Wednesday.

Homework today- Do a Frayer Model of the following 4 words: Temperature, Conventions, Macroscopic, Molecular. Students have the worksheet to complete this, however here it is again:

Today students completed an experiment to discover the difference hot water, cold water and room temperature has on food coloring. Students completed most of the lab at school today, however, students need to complete 2 questions for homework. The questions need to be a complete paragraph using information from the lab. This is an easy lab to complete, and can be completed at home as well.
