The WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE is tomorrow!

Please bring a nicely wrapped gift.

If you can’t think of anything to bring, just look around your house and find something funny!

Wrap the gift in nice paper or use a gift bag.  Just make sure no one can see what’s inside.

If you’d PREFER to bring a real gift, please DO NOT spend a lot of money.

See y’all tomorrow.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU. *light saber noises*

As you know, I try to never give homework on the night after a big test, BUT …

I just wanted to remind everyone that the WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE will be on Friday, December 18, 2015.

Please review the WHITE ELEPHANT adjective sheet and start looking for the perfect gift.

Please do NOT gift anything that could be dangerous – spoiled or open food, broken glass, etc.

If you want to bring snacks or drinks, you should start thinking of 7th GRADE (or higher) LEVEL adjectives for your snacks and drinks.

BW:

Use a color pencil or marker to revise and edit your “Does your family celebrate Christmas?” bell work.

  • FIX punctuation and capitalization.
  • CIRCLE spelling mistakes.
  • ADD more details or important information.
  • DELETE off topic information.
  • CHANGE baby words into higher level vocabulary.

THEN … write a NEAT final copy in your composition book (page #1). Do NOT skip lines. Use your BEST handwriting.

Same homework as last weekend!

  • Read 15-20 minutes.
  • Summarize on loose leaf IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
  • Ask mom or dad to sign.

Hopefully, you’re well into your book by now or maybe even finished.

Remember … if you pass the hot seat, you won’t have to take the library book test.

  • Give another reason and explain.
  • Restate the question.

Oh and you MAY bring this drink to class IF you turn in this S.A.R. BEFORE A2 class.

Bring the drink with you if you would like it to stay cold in the fridge all day.

ware – an item or object that someone makes, usually an artist or a crafter (The jewelry artist invited everyone to her shop to see her wares.)

My sentence: The clock maker invited everyone to his shop to see his wares.

And I didn’t even look in the dictionary!

HW:

  1. [loose leaf] Use a lot of details and adjectives to describe your planner.  Be very specific and describe every single thing about how the OUTSIDE of your planner looks.
  2. We will be making portfolios tomorrow. Please bring all old BW, CW, HW, posters, etc. (anything from report card 2).

OK.

All tests have been graded.

All composition books have been graded.

All late work points have been added.

All extra credit tickets have been added.

I BELIEVE the grades for Report Card #2 are correct and final.

Please take a moment to log into your Student Connect and double check if everything is correct.

Congratulations to the students who put in the time and work to earn a good grade. 😛

HW:

Read your library book for 15-20 minutes (or longer). On loose leaf, neatly write a brief summary IN YOUR OWN WORDS! Brief means approximately a half page, skipping lines.

GET THIS HOMEWORK SIGNED BY MOM OR DAD!

Oh and have a great weekend.  🙂
