CHOICE 2 – BLACK HISTORY MONTH

• Research Muhammad Ali, Rosa Parks, Drake, LeBron, or Serena and Venus Williams. Write some interesting/important facts on loose leaf.
• On a fresh sheet of loose leaf, write a short poem that is at least 8 lines long using facts about your person.
• The poem must have a rhyme scheme.
• MEMORIZE YOUR POEM. When you’re ready, perform for the teacher.
• If you have a different person you’d like to research for Black History Month, talk to the teacher.

9 – Neatly copy Mrs. Sorenson’s black history month poem. Practice reading it. When you’re ready, read it to the teacher with NO mistakes.

10 – Work on extra credit.

5TH HOUR CHALLENGE – I need one person to take EVERYTHING off the top of the chromecart and the tables next to the chromecart then organize everything and put it back. You will earn eleven polar points. This is ONLY for students who received a good report from the substitute.

THIS HW IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO DID NOT PASS THE FIRST ROUND OF THE SPELLING BEE.

Choose 15 or more of the level 2 spelling bee words. For each word, write a strong, interesting sentence. Highlight the spelling word in each sentence. I will be checking these sentences very carefully. If I find a single mistake, you will have to start all over again.

SPELLING BEE RULES

• You must say the word, then spell the word, then say the word.
