FOR EVERYONE:

  • Use your neatest handwriting.
  • Make sure you skip a line and indent for each new paragraph.
  • You MAY use your chromebook to look up correct spelling so YES … spelling counts.
  • If you finish early, remain quiet while others are testing.
  • You may NOT take this test home.
  • You may have two hours to finish this test (today and tomorrow).

C = Read and annotate Mr. Dobert’s example essay then neatly copy the 5 paragraphs on loose leaf.

B = Read and annotate Mr. Dobert’s example essay.  As you copy the 5 paragraphs on loose leaf, change a lot of the words into your own words. Make the essay better by improving the vocabulary level, adding or deleting things, changing things up a bit, etc.

A = Read and annotate Mr. Dobert’s example essay then draft a brand new 5 paragraph essay IN YOUR OWN WORDS on loose leaf. Use your T-chart and hamburger (from your composition book) to help you. If you really want to show off your writing skills, take the OTHER side of the argument.
