Quick cards should be NEAT but do not need pics.

When you know ALL the cards, tell the teacher you’re ready.  The teacher will quickly show  you each card and you must be ready to say the definition and ONE example word.

HINT: Study QUIETLY with a partner AFTER your flash cards are done.

CHALLENGE: Defeat the teacher in arm wrestling and you will automatically get the 20 points, BUT IF YOU LOSE, your CW grading will start IMMEDIATELY after you lose.

HOW TO STUDY FOR THE “UNI” QUIZ:

  • Create at least 7 neat flash cards for 7 different “uni” words.
  • Each card should have the “uni” word on the front.
  • Each card should have the definition on the back.  The definition MUST include the word “one” since “uni” means “one”.
  • Each card should have a complete sentence on the back.  The sentence must include the “uni” word.
  • Each card should have a neat, colorful picture that helps show the meaning of the word.
  • Study the cards.  SPELLING COUNTS!

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE: “who’s” and “whose”

  • Write definitions for both words.
  • Write sentences for both words. WRITE INTERESTING SENTENCES IN YOUR OWN WORDS!
  • Highlight the key word in each sentence.
  • Add a neat, colorful tiny picture for each sentence if you want full points.

HINT: Definitions and examples are in your planner (page 6).

 

Here are some B+ sentences that I thought of.  They’re a little boring.
