READ THESE SENTENCES!

1- I smiled sheepishly when my crush caught me staring.

2 -My hands started to quiver when the teacher caught me cheating.

3- I had a scowl on my face with the teacher gave me detention.

4 – My elective class is art – I’m glad I picked that instead of cooking class.

5 – When I play cards, I always bluff and pretend my cards are good.

6 – When I stay up too late, I always trudge to school the next morning; I need coffee!

7 – It is my conviction that Muslims should pray five times per day and give money to the needy.

8 – My mom told me that if I don’t stop eating sweets, I’ll soon be portly.

On a sheet of loose leaf paper, number your paper and neatly write the eight bold words. Next to each bold word, write one or TWO synonyms from the bank (words that mean the same).

PROJECT:

Fold a computer paper three times until you have 8 rectangles. There is an example on the chalkboard.

Your title for each of the rectangles should be one of the bold words from the CW sentences.

Under the title, write two or three synonyms.

You MUST include a tiny picture in each rectangle.
