WORST.THANKSGIVING.EVER.

I was so hungry I could eat a horse.

The turkey was as dry as desert dust.

The rock hard bread rolls were screaming for butter.

I definitely wanted to spill the beans (because my sister had a secret).

The only potato was my brother who was a couch potato.

HW: match the five sentences with the figurative language bullets

OR (deeper level)

Write your own sentences about your Thanksgiving.  Each sentence should use one of the figurative language bullets.

AND (deepest level)

Add an additional sentence that includes an “oxymoron”.

BTW … The sentences are not true at all.  My mom is an excellent cook.  My family had a great time eating and spending time with each other.  My nephew demolished me in Monopoly.  How was your holiday?
