CW1:

Neatly copy all this important information on a fresh sheet of loose leaf paper:

PROBATION

You WILL be on probation for many, many, many days if your NWEA score STAYS THE SAME OR goes DOWN.

  • Extra HW.
  • Assigned seats.
  • No bathroom breaks.
  • No headphones.
  • No buying things with polar points.
  • Extra ELA help after school.
  • No free time.
  • No reading dodgeball, etc.
  • No participating in challenges.

Additionally, if your ELA grade on StudentConnect is ever an E, you are automatically on probation.

IF YOUR NWEA SCORE GOES UP, the teacher will give you a lot of FREEDOM and choices and privileges.

CW2:

IXL – Earn at least 21 minutes of IXL (ELA). 6th grade level or higher. You may use headphones.

*** CHALLENGE *** First student to go from zero to 100 in IXL – ELA – 12th grade level may skip all work and have quiet free time for the rest of the hour. This must be started and finished during 5th hour or ELA class.

CW3:

Work on your amazing Google slides presentation then show the teacher.

CW4:

Choose something quiet to work on. If you’re not sure what to work on, read any COMPLETE text from the blue lit books then write a summary on loose leaf.

HW:

IXL – Earn at least 21 minutes of IXL (ELA). 6th grade level or higher.

THAT MEANS YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 42 MINUTES OF IXL BEFORE CLASS TOMORROW!

*** VIP *** If Mrs. Younes presented a VIP Honor Roll pencil to you today in first hour, you do NOT have to do this HW, but you will be required to show your pencil in class tomorrow as proof.
